Photo Feature- Epidemic Outbreak in Kapilbastu, 2 Dead, 200 Admitted for Treatment
Two people have died of diarrhoea in Kapilbastu district. According to the Health Office, Ram Prasad Kewatt, 45, of Krishnanagar Municipality-9 died at his home in ward no. 9 and Raj Kashyap, 7, of ward no. 8 died at the local clinic.
Senior Public Health Officer Hemraj Pandey said that a team including the Chief of the health office has been deployed since the morning after receiving information that diarrhoea patients were found in wards 7, 8 and 9 of Krishnanagar Municipality.
When the team reached Shivaraj Hospital, Bahadurganj at 9 am, the hospital was full of patients.
According to Dr. Mukesh Kumar Chaudhary of the hospital, the patients are being treated in the 15-bed capacity of the hospital.
