Rautahat–2 Candidate Kiran Sah Stages Sit-in Demanding Re-voting

Kiran Sah, the Communist Party of Nepal candidate from Rautahat–2, has staged a sit-in in front of the election office in Laukaha, demanding re-voting in eight wards of Rajpur and Ishnath municipalities, alleging irregularities during the voting.

Sah stated that the voting held on March 5 in Constituency No. 2 was not fair, and therefore, fresh voting should be conducted. Through a Facebook Live broadcast, he also called back individuals deployed as party representatives.

He alleged that votes were cast in the names of other voters and urged the election office to conduct the voting again.

However, Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal stated that although minor disputes occurred in some places, the voting was conducted peacefully overall.
