PSP Candidate Holds Election Meet-and-Greet During Silent Period

During the silent period for the House of Representatives election scheduled on March 5, political activity was reported on Falgun 19 at the Dakneshwari Temple premises in Pato Bazaar, Dakneshwari Municipality–5.

During monitoring, INSEC district representative Navin Yadav observed that Dr. Babi Singh, candidate of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal for Saptari Constituency No. 4, arrived at the temple in a Scorpio vehicle (Madhesh Province 06–001 Ch 005) and held a political discussion with around five party workers, including JSP municipal committee president Om Prakash Yadav and former Provincial Assembly member Bindeshwar Yadav of Madhesh Province.

While returning towards Shambhunath Municipality–Arnaha, candidate Singh reportedly stopped his vehicle on the road and distributed pink umbrellas bearing the election symbol of the People’s Socialist Party, Nepal, to a woman, approximately 45 years old.
