The District Jail Office, Jhapa, has reported that Karn Bahadur Limbu, 61 from Darjeeling, West Bengal, India, who was serving a sentence, died on November 21, 2025 during treatment.
Limbu, who had been serving his sentence since August 14 after the District Court sentenced him on August 13 in a rape case, died on November 21, at Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur, during treatment, according to the jail administration.
Regarding the incident, the victim’s family has been informed, and after the family arrives, arrangements are being made to hand over the body, said DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, Jhapa.
