A dispute between inmates at the District Jail in Siraha Municipality-1 on November 9 escalated into a clash, leaving Prameshwar Sada, 30,an inmate from Mirchaiya Municipality-8 injured. Sada, detained in a theft case, sustained injuries to his head and other parts of his body. He is currently receiving treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Siraha.
Jail Chief Subodh Mahato stated that the clash occurred due to disagreements among the inmates. DSP Ramesh Bahadur Pal of the District Police Office, Siraha, said that the incident inside the jail is under investigation and that disciplinary action will be taken accordingly.
