The District Court of Ilam has ordered to sentence 62 years old Lokendra Rai of Mangsebung-3 for nine years after finding him guilty on raping 28 years old woman.
Police had arrested the accused on February 15 on charge of raping victim. A single bench of District Court judge Indra Kumar Chongteli had given the verdict regarding the case. In a same case, the court had also ordered convict to compensate victim with Rs 10,000. The accused was arrested by the police on February 21.
