The District Prison of Rasuwa is facing space problem due to the overcrowded inmates and detainees in the prison. The “E” graded district prison has a capacity to accommodate 25 inmates and detainees however there are 112 inmates and detainees creating severe crisis among them.
Due to the lack of building , inmates are living in a room in very congested condition. There were no female inmates in the prison previously however at present there are three female inmates.
Inmates and detainees are facing various issues due to the lack of space. They are facing issues like health chechkup, clean drinking water,toilet, sleeping and even eating. There is one toilet for female and three for male.
