The majority of the ward offices of Darchuka district are facing management issues resulting the difficulties to beneficiaries. After the new local level structure, one VDC is divided into two wards and majority of wards do not have their own building.
In a new structure, the old structure has been changed into nine local level and 61 ward offices however the physicl infrastructure management is not being efficient effecting the daily work of the offices according to ward secretary Lal Bahadur Dhami of ward number 6, Mahakali municipality.
He added that managing ward offices as per new structure is being hard nut for them.
In Darchula, 41 VDCs have been divided into two municipalities, 7 Rural Municipalities and 61 ward offices. The beneficiaries are facing problem because of the management of the ward offices not being effective and compatible as per the new structure.
Similarly, ward offices at ShailyaShikhar municipality, Malikarjun, Apilhimal, Marma and Dahu are facing difficulties because of not having their own building severely effecting their daily business.
