The District Court of Khotang has ordered to sentence 47 years old year grandfather for nine years after finding him guilty on raping 15 years old granddaughter. The court has also ordered to compensate Rs 50,000 from the convict.
The victim’s party had lodged complaint at District Police Office of Khotang and the accused was arrested on June 23 based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s family.
The victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital of Khotang on a same day.
