The final rites of the deceased temporary police Bibek AiDi, 25 of Raskot Municipality-2, who died in a police firing during a demonstration, has been held on December 17.
The victim’s family had denied for his final rites demanding the action against the accused. The district level political parties, local level representatives and administrative met the victim’s family and committed to initiate their demands. After the commitment shown, the family agreed for the cremation of Aidi’s body.
The postmortem of the body was conducted in District Hospital of Kalikot on December 26 based on the understanding between high level investigating committee from the government and regional office.
Hari Bahadur Aidi, father of the victim, said that the body was cremated after the commitment by the political parties. He added “ it is still to see how they will implement the agreement”.
