A one day camp operated in Lahan of Siraha has distributed ID cards to the senior citizens on August 20.
The camp was jointly operated by Women and Children Office Siraha, INSEC, Dalit Welfare Club and Helping Hands. At least 209 senior citizens were able to get the ID cards. Most of the elderly people were not having ID cards as they had to go to the women and child welfare office in the district headquarters travelling a long journey. This camp has helped them to receive cards easily according to executive director Binof Kumar Bisanku of Dalit Public welfare Youth Club.
Meanwhile, acting chief Jeevan Thapa of women and child welfare office said that senior citizens will be provided 50% of in public transport and medication.
