A 48-year-old woman filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Malangawa, on July 3, against Mahendra Yadav, 38, and Rajendra Yadav, 36, both of Parsa Rural Municipality–2, accusing them of beating her after alleging that she was a “witch” on June 23.
The victim alleged that the accused pressured her on June 30 to settle the incident within the village.
According to police, the victim received treatment at the Provincial Hospital, Malangawa, from June 23 to July 1. The accused are absconding, and a search operation is underway, according to DSP Bed Prasad Gautam of the District Police Office, Malangawa.
