The district court sentenced the 35-year-old man to life imprisonment on the July 2, finding him guilty of rape of his 15-year-old girl daughter.
The decision was made by a single bench of District Court Judge Shanti Prasad Acharya. It has been decided to give a compensation of Rs. 2,00,000 to the victim. On March 3 , 2022 , the victim filed a complaint at the local police office in Lahan, alleging that the accused had raped the girl on March 4.
The health examination of the girl was done on March 4 at the Ramkumar Uma Prasad Memorial Hospital in Lahan. The accused was arrested by the local police office Lahan on March 4. According to the order of the district court, the accused was in custody for preliminary investigation since March 29.
