Court Orders Six Months of Imprisonment to the Guilty of Sexual Abuse

The District Court of Saptari has ordered six months’ imprisonment to Deepak Gaima of Kanchanrup Municipality-9 for sexually abusing two seven-year-old girls and one 10-year-old girl.

A bench of Judge Prem Prasad Neupane sentenced Gaima to six months imprisonment and charged a fine of Rs 10,000 and Rs 30,000 compensation to the victim for sexually abusing three girls, informed Shrestedar Kumar Maskey.

The victims were abused on December 3, 2020, and the accused was arrested on the same day of the incident.

The victims had accused that Gaima had taken them to Dharapani picnic spot luring them with candies and noodles and abused them sexually. He had taken them on a motorbike (Sa. 9 Pa. 6236). It is alleged that the victims escaped after they shouted and a crowd gathered in the incident spot.

Area Police Office, Thelia, had arrested Gaima from the incident spot on the same day. The girls were examined at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj on December 3.

The complaint lodged by the victim was registered by the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur on December 4. A case was filed in the district court on December 27 and the accused was released on bail of NRs 1 lakh.
