The CPN- Maoist (Revolutionary) lead by Mohan Vaidhya has declared that they have seized 8.264 Acres (25 Bigha) of land plotted by 21- Group in Madi Municipality.
A group of cadres of the CPN- Maoist (Revolutionary) led by Chitwan District in-charge Ghannath Sapkota had captured the land and erected their flag on it on August 2, 2021.
The party’s district in-charge Sapkota told INSEC that the land mafias had manipulated the poor locals into selling the land for a cheaper price. Therefore, they have seized the land to stop every kind of business activity until those locals get permanently settled.
Thakur Dhakal, Mayor of Madi Municipality said that he is unknown about the reasons for the land capture.
The Area Police Office, Madi has removed the flag of the CPN- Maoist (Revolutionary ), immediately after they were informed about it.
