A complaint against 23 years old Umesh Yadav of Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality-5 has been lodged at Area Police Office of Maheshpur Patari on September 12 on charge of marrying with 16 years old girl.
The victim’s party said that the girl was married without the consent of the family as she is under aged.
Inspector Rabi Bhushan Yadav of the Area Police Office said that the accused is at large and search for him is going on.
After the enforcement of Criminal code of conduct from August 17, the marital age has been determined as 20 years. The one who breached the law will be charged under this act.
