The inmates and detainees at Jaleshwor prison are facing difficulties after the prison is flooded due to the incessant rainfall for the last three days.
The prison includes the inmates from Mahottari, Dhanusha and Sarlahi districts. According to the jailer Shovendra Thakur, the prison building is 160 years old and it is in a dilapidated condition.
The prison building is flooded everywhere and even the rooms of prison chief and administrators are flooded.
