The District Court of Kalikot has ordered to sentence 34 years old Ganesh Bom of Palanta Rural Municipality-2 for seven years after finding him guilty on raping 21 years old woman.
A single bench of District Court judge Prakash Dhungana had given a verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 50,000 to the victim from the convict.
The convict had raped a woman on May 31 and complaint against him was lodged at District Police Office on June 3. After the complaint, he was arrested by the police on June 8 and was remanded in custody by the court order. The victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital on June 3.
