The District Court of Bhaktapur has ordered to sentence 21 years old Bishal Centrury of Sindhuli Dudhauli Municipality-5, currently living at Changunarayan Municipality-2, Duwakot for eight years after finding him guilty on raping 14 years old girl. A single bench of district court judge Matrika Prasad Marasini had given the verdict regarding the case.
In a same case, the court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 1,00,000 to the victim through Women and Children Office.
The victim’s party had lodged complain at Metropolitan Police Circle Thimi on 18th July 2017 on charge of rape on a same day. He was arrested by the police and was remanded in custody by the court order on August 11. On a same day, the victim underwent health checkup at TUTH in Kathmandu.
