Koraisi Khatun, 55 of Rajpur Municipality-9 and 34 years old Ambya Khatun was beaten by the Rautahat police in the court premises on February 26. Both victims were injured in a beating. Police also intimidated other people giving company to both women.
On January 23, 8 years old boy Mahaphuj Dewan of Rautahat Rajpur Municipality-9, Bairiyatol was killed by five people using a sharp weapon and the accused were being resented in the court. The grandmother Koraisi Khatun of the deceased boy along with dozens of women were there for court hearing.
The injured women were immediately rushed to Gaur Hospital for treatment. They sustained bruises over their body according to hospital.
However, SP Yagya Binod Chaudhary of DPO said claimed that they were just restricted on entering court to avoid pressure on court work. He denied of beating them.
