The Area Police Office of Kanchanrup has arrested 26 years old Jaya Narayan Paudel of Krishnasawaran village council-2 on May 21 on charge of raping 19 years old mentally retarded girl.
The accused was arrested based on a verbal complaint lodged by the victim’s party immediately after the incident according to DSP Yadav Raj Uprety of DPO, Saptari.
The victim underwent a health checkup at BP Koirala institute of health and science on May 21 according to inspector Dilli Chauhan.
