Dhanakumari Pokharel Shahi, 38, of Singaudi, Municipality-2 has lodged a complaint against Jaya Bahadur Shahi, 48, on April 2, 2021, at the Distirct Police Office accusing him of misbehaving and beating her. Dhanakumari is the Principal of Rastriya Primary School.
Jaya Bahadur Shahi, who is also the chairperson of the school management committee, had asked to hand over a cheque of Rs. 460,000 received from 28 municipalities for the construction of the school’s toilet on March 26, 2021. After she denied handing over the check, she was beaten in the parents’ gathering that was ongoing in the school.
As the accused is absconding, search and investigation is underway, said Indrajit Sunar, Information Officer at District Police Office, Dailekh.
