A 21-year-old man, the elder brother of the victim from Siyari Rural Municipality–1, has been sentenced by the Rupandehi District Court for raping a 10-year-old girl.
The bench of District Court Judge Shyamlal Ghimire on December 10, 2025 found the accused guilty and sentenced him to 18 years in jail, imposed a fine of Rs 700,000, awarded Rs 50,000 as compensation, and directed Rs 2,200 to be deposited into the Victim Relief Fund, according to the District Court’s Information Officer, Padam Aryal.
The incident reportedly occurred on April 25, 2024, and the victim’s family filed a complaint at the District Police Office on April 27. The victim underwent a medical examination on the same day at Bhim Hospital, Bhairawa.
