During the movement, an inmate who had escaped from Jhumka Jail in Ramdhuni Municipality-5, Sunsari, was arrested by the police on November 14 from Rabi Bazaar, the center of Miklajung Rural Municipality, Panchthar. The District Police Office, Panchthar, stated that Baburam Angdembel, 26 from Miklajung Rural Municipality-4, Rabi Bazaar, was arrested.
DSP Anish Kumar Karna of the District Police Office stated that Angdembel was arrested while hiding in a house located in Rabi Bazaar, Miklajung Rural Municipality-4.
According to the police, Angdembel, who was serving a sentence in a rape case, had escaped from Jhumka Jail in Sunsari on September 9 during the Gen Z movement.
Based on confidential information, a police team led by Inspector Durga Rai from the Rabi Police Station apprehended him and sent him to Panchthar Jail.
