During the movement, two inmates who had escaped from Naubasta Jail on September 9, 2025, were arrested by the police on October 4 and 5 and returned to Naubasta Jail.
According to DSP Deepak Patali, Information Officer of the District Police Office, the escapees were Harkesh Khatik, 26, from Banke District, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City–9, Bankigau, and Manoj Chandra, 23, from Simalghari, Khajura Rural Municipality–6.
Harkesh Khatik was in jail on charges of killing , while Manoj Chandra was imprisoned for drug trafficking.
