A suspicious item was found on the morning of March 3 on the Chhinchu-Jajarkot road section in Ratachaur, Bheri-Ganga Municipality-10, Surkhet.
According to SP Sudhirraj Shahi of the District Police Office, Surkhet, a pressure cooker wrapped in red plastic and an item in a red plastic bag labeled “Danger” were spotted in a roadside ditch. After receiving the information, a team from the Nepali Army safely disposed of the suspicious item and found cow dung and soil inside the pressure cooker.
He stated that the item is suspected to have been placed by hostile elements intending to spread fear during the election period. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing, SP Shahi added.
