Call to not Obstruct Distribution of Newspaper
Our serious attention has been drawn towards the obstruction in printing and distribution of Kantipur Daily and The Kathmandu Post by CPN-Maoist affiliated All Nepal Revolutionary Communication, Press and Publication Association since August 19.
We have viewed the obstruction in printing of newspapers published by Kantipur Publications and attack on distributors as hindrance to the people’s right to information and press freedom.
There should not be obstructions of any manner in free press in a democratic nation. We call on the agitating sides to put forward their demands through dialogue in a peaceful manner by immediately ending their activities that affect press freedom.
