Kiran Chaudhary, 24, was arrested on July 27, 2026, on the charge of beating his 40-year-old mother, Meghiya Chaudhary, to death following a domestic dispute.
The deceased, originally from Katari Municipality–5, Udayapur District, had been residing at Bhatedhikar, Suryabinayak Municipality–9. According to the police, the accused allegedly assaulted his mother on July 26, leaving her critically injured.
She was undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital, where she died on July 27, according to the Bhaktapur District Police Office.
Police said the post-mortem examination was conducted at Patan Hospital on July 27, after which the body was handed over to the deceased’s relatives the same day.
