Police arrested Prabin Raut, 29, of Birtabazaar-3, Birtamod Municipality, on June 15, on charges of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the Area Police Office on June 15, accusing Raut of raping the victim on June 13.
The accused has been arrested for further investigation.
The victim underwent a medical examination on June 15 at the provincial hospital, Bhadrapur.
