The bodies of Suki Baduwal and three children were found in the Karnali River on March 8.
According to DSP Anupam Shrestha of the District Police Office, Dailekh, the bodies of Suki Baduwal and her 10-year-old son Lalit Baduwal were found in the afternoon on March 9 at Panchadewal Binayak Municipality-4, Belkhet.
According to DSP Shrestha, police, Armed Police Force, and locals have launched a search operation after finding the bodies of Suki’s eldest daughter Kalpana Baduwal, 15, and another daughter Sarita Baduwal, 12, at Karnali Bank in Belkhet of Achham on March 8. Suki’s youngest daughter Rajani Baduwal has not been found yet, police said.
Suki had a dispute with her husband Mansingh Baduwal, 38, the previous evening and she left the house with her four children the next morning.
Deepa Bohora, deputy mayor of the Aathbis Municipality, said that Suki may have decided to commit suicide along with her four children due to regular disputes at home.
According to DSP Shrestha, DIG of Karnali Provincial Police Office Basant Kumar Pant and DSP Anupam Shrestha of Dailekh reached the spot on March 9 for effective investigation of the incident.
Although the deceased were residents of Dailekh, they informed that they were preparing to take Achham for postmortem as the body was found in the Achham area.
