Police seized alcoholic beverages from a brick kiln located in Ward No. 5, Dhakiya Tol of Bhangaha Municipality on March 4.
According to DSP Shailendra Bhatt of the District Police Office, Mahottari, the sale, distribution, and consumption of alcohol had been prohibited since February 26. As a large quantity of alcoholic beverages was found on the eve of voting, the items were confiscated.
Police recovered three cartons of Arna Beer, seven cartons of Karnali Gold, three cartons of Brix Wine, and 17 bottles of Black Oak liquor that had been hidden at the brick kiln. The seized alcoholic beverages have been taken into control, and further investigation is underway, police said.
