Public Hearing on Earthquake victim re-instatement and situation
The Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) Makwanpur has organized a public hearing program in Hetauda on March 15 regarding the re-in statement process and situation of the victims.
Speaking at the program, planning officer Kisan Neupane of district coordination committee said that the earthquake victims could not get the second installment of the grant amount. He added that 53 names of the victims have been recommended for the grant by building technology and investigation training centre.” The beneficiaries will be getting second installment amount soon”, he added.
There are 30,238 families victimized by the earthquake in Makwanpur district. Among them, 20,027 victims have an agreement and 19019 have already received first installment of the amount.
Chairperson Krishna Dhital of NGO organization of Makwanpur accused of reconstruction process being very slow. He added that due to the delay in National Reconstruction Authority, the reconstruction and re-instatement has been delayed.
In the program the victims complained of not getting second installment of the grant amount.
