Public Hearing Held in Sindhupalchok

A public hearing program was organized at Dhade Bazar between Jalbire and Baramchi VDC in Sindhupalchok on November 23. The program was organized by Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) with a chairmanship of INSEC district representative Nati Babu Dhital. In the program, SP Rabindra KC of District Police Office was invited as a chief guest.

Representatives from local level political party, teachers and women coalition representatives were present at the program.

Speaking at the program SP KC of DPO said that INSEC and its program have supported the victims and aware them about their rights. Nir Bahadur Paudel, representative from Nepali Congress said that there are no accounts of the houses that has been made by the locals prior of getting the grant amount of Rs 50,000 to build their houses.

Rabindra Ghimire of CPN UML accused District Administration Office of not listening to the complaints of earthquake victims. Tula Nath Ghimire, Village chairperson of Maoist center said that the issues of victims who did not get relief must be addressed as soon as possible.

Speaking at the program Juna Shrestha, chairperson of Women coalition of the district said that their right to secret has been violated while informing District Police Office about the incident of drinking alcohol by male victims after getting the grant amount of Rs 50,000. At least 16 participants had put their surrounding difficulties of village.

While answering the queries of the victims, SP Rabindra KC committed to work hard from his level. There were 120 participants in the program including 41 women.
