Interaction held on Education, Health and Food Rights

An interaction program on education, health and food rights has been organised in Pokhara on July 8 with a joint coordination with INSEC western regional office and Human Rights watch committee of Kaski.

 

Speaking at the program, the participants complained about the government not being able to effectively implement its policy on basic civil rights of people such as education, health and food rights.

 

In the program, member of Human Rights watch Committee from Parbat, Tanahu and Kaski district. Most of the participants from various organisations complained about the issues such as ineffective services provided by Local bodies, lack of child-friendly environment in village school, ineffective implementation of free education for primary level and health services.

 

Speaking at the program acting CDO Jhalak Ram Subedi said that the market monitoring office under District Administration Office has been constantly monitoring the market and those involved in such activities will be brought under the law.

 

Senior agricultural officer Ramesh Koirala of District Agriculture Office said that the quality service could not be provided due to the lack of manpower and technicians as per the pressure of work. He added that the priority has been given on using organic manure.
