District Human Rights Monitoring Group formed
District level human rights monitoring group has been formed under (ELP) program to make concerned authorities accountable and responsible local community.
The program held on Dang, Ghorahi on the chairmanship of coordinator of Dang human rights network, Keshav Kumar Sharma decided to form the active human right network as human rights monitoring group on December 22.
Earlier, the role of human rights monitoring group was played by the human right Network which is why the participants in the meeting unanimously decided to form the same network as monitoring group over the next monitoring committee.
INSEC, HRPLACE, WOREC, Women Human Rights Defenders Network, civil society, the District Bar, High Court bar, Food right Network, Disable Human Rights and Action Forum, the Human Rights Foundation, Federation of Nepalese Journalists, human welfare and environment protection Centre are institutional representatives are members of the monitoring group on the chairmanship of coordinator Keshav Kumar Sharma.
Committee will work as a bridge between village and the district to protect their education, health and food right.
INSEC now has organized program to make the concerned authority accountable and responsible to local institutions of Laxmipur and Soudiyaar of Dang district.
