Commitment to Increase Budget in Agriculture
Deputy Chief of Lekhbesi Municipality Shanti Kumari Chhantel has expressed commitment to increase the budget in the agricultural sector in the coming fiscal year.
Speaking at an interaction organized by INSEC Karnali Provincial Office Surkhet on January 10 in Lekhbesi Municipality, Deputy Chief Chhantel expressed such commitment.
Discussing that a strategy has been prepared for the economic prosperity of the people of Lekhbesi Municipality, which is inhabited by a large number of farmers, Deputy Chief Chhantel said that the recommendation on agricultural produce and royalty would be improved.
As the guardian, Lekhbesi Municipality is committed to solving all the problems faced by the farmers, said Deputy Chief Chhantel.
Chairman of Lekhbesi Municipality Human Rights Group Neeru Thapa presided over the function. INSEC facilitator Bindulal Regmi facilitated the program which was attended by farmers and civil society representatives of Lekhbesi Municipality.
