Capacity Building Training for People’s Representatives and Judicial Committees
The Kshireshwornath Municipality has given training on capacity building to the local people’s representatives and officials of the Judicial Committee on November 28 and 29.
The training was attended by 33 people including the ward chairperson, ward members, and executive members of Kshireshwornath Municipality.
Raju Paswan, Coordinator, INSEC Province 2, and Raj Kumar Mahaseth, Coordinator, Advocacy Forum Nepal, Province 2, gave training on human rights during the training.
Hemalata Sigdel, a women’s rights activist, and Manmaya Rana Magar, a human rights officer of the National Human Rights Commission, Province 2, provided training on how to consult on incidents or issues.
Judicial Committee member Birendra Kumar Singh said that the training has made it clear that they have been performing their duties deliberately till now.
Rachana Mathema, coordinator of the Kshireshwornath Judicial Committee and deputy mayor of the municipality, said that he has been holding discussions, decisions, and hearings in his office and meeting room even though he has not been able to form a bench for the judicial committee in the municipality so far.
