Interaction Program Related to Child-friendly Governance Completed
Interaction program related to the child-friendly local governance, organized by Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) and Gandaki Social Development Office Kaski, in Madi Rural Municipality, has completed on May 17, 2023.
In the program, the Chairperson of Madi Village Council ward number 12, Krishnaraj Dahal, emphasized that everyone should take the initiative to create child-friendly wards, schools, and society. He informed the participants about the formation of the Child-friendly Governance Local Committee at the municipal level.
Executive member Lakshmi Giri expressed her commitment to creating a child-friendly local ward at the ward level.
Similarly, Shobha Gurung informed that the attitude towards children in the society is clear and she requested that everyone should start from their capacity for a child-friendly ward.
Swastika Bhujel, a class 8 student of Himalaya Basic School, said that there are no sufficient sanitary pads provided in the school. She emphasized that the ward office should take responsibility for the matter ward office.
Shiv Khakurel, the coordinator of INSEC Gandaki, said that everyone should join hands for child-friendly local governance.
INSEC Program Officer Sabnam Sharma facilitated the discussion.
