INSEC Support to PM Disaster Relief Fund
INSEC has handed over relief amount to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala for PM Disaster Relief Fund. Founding Chairperson of INSEC Sushil Pyakurel handed over a cheque of Rs 705,562 to the Prime Minister at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar on May 19.
PM Koirala expressed gratitude for INSEC support to the earthquake victims. Saying that any activities intended towards weakening the state would not be tolerated, PM Koirala said that those trying to take illicit advantage during the time of disaster would be brought to justice. He added that support of organizations like INSEC is needed to take such action.
Founder Chairperson of INSEC Sushil Pyakurel said that the little contribution made by INSEC would encourage the state. INSEC Executive Committee Member Kundan Aryal said that INSEC has been updating information related to earthquake on daily basis.
Executive Director of INSEC Bijay Raj Gautam said that INSEC is ready to join hands with the government during the time of disaster. He informed PM Koirala about the activities related to relief and rehabilitation carried out by INSEC. Full time and contractual staffs and 75 district representatives of INSEC contributed their one week’s salary to the relief amount.
