Request to add more vote counting centres
The election observer team of Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) has monitored the vote counting centres in Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan city along with various municipalities on May 15. It was found that the process of vote counting system is very slow despite of large number of vote casted in these metropolitans. If the process of counting goes like this, it will take another month to get the result. The vote counting on the past 24 hours, post-election development indicates this. It is important to manage the ballot box according to ward numbers to conclude the vote counting process smoothly and quickly. We request Election Commission to concentrate on making this counting process smooth and declaring the result as soon as possible. Similarly, we would like to request all political parties to coordinate with Election Commission to make this process smoother.
