Workshop on Role of Parliament and provincial government on implementation of fundamental rights held in Janakpur of Dhanusha on December 1 in context of 70th International Human Rights Day and 25th anniversary of Paris Principle. The program was held by National Human Rights Commission.

Speaking at the workshop, NHRC commissioner Sudeep Pathak said that the youth trend of going for foreign employment is increasing and government must settle them in agriculture. He added that women must be made capable on the issue of Economic, social and cultural rights. Internal affair and law minister Gyanendra Kumar Yadav of province 2 said that the provincial government is serious on human rights issues.

Professor Dr Rajendra Bimal said that human rights must be implemented practically and must be included in curriculum.

Former commissioner Professor Kapil Shrestha of NHRC said that the human rights can be accepted and implemented only if we are able to minimize social ill practices and transform it.

Provincial member Saraswoti Chaudhary said that the government must form separate Child Rights Commission.
