Woman Accused of Physically Assaulting Her Mother-in -Law
On August 20, 34-year-old Chandrakala Katuwal of Pathibhara Yangrawak Rural Municipality-3 Tiringe lodged a police complaint against her 22-year-old daughter-in-law Bipana Katuwal, accusing her of physically assaulting her.
The victim alleged that the accused had beaten her during a domestic dispute on the specified date. As a result of the altercation, the victim’s nose was injured, and she sought medical treatment at the district hospital on August 20.
Bavita Dulal, the in-charge of the local women’s cell, confirmed that Chandrakala had reported the incident to the women’s cell on August 20, detailing the beating she experienced from her daughter-in-law.
The police have stated that they will carry out an investigation into the incident and take necessary actions, including potentially arresting the accused if deemed appropriate based on the findings of the investigation.
