Weapons used in armed conflict recovered from the Villages
The District Police Office of Jumla has made all the arms and ammunition public on January 12 which is recovered after the signing of Comprehensive Peace Accord (CPA) ,since 2006.
During this period, the police has recovered 2985 types of arms which is made public on January 12.
The recovered arms includes two M-16 rifles, 10 SLR Rifles, 16 SMG Rifles, 2 Insas Rifles, 8 Short gun, 16 one belt Rifles, two Masket arms, Mortar, 25 Airguns, 23 GST Caliber, 73 three nut Rifles, 8 Tutu, 74 twelve boar, one Magnum and bullets.
DSP Guru Bishnu Kafle of of DPO said that most of the modern weapons recovered are from the conflict era. He added that such weapons are being recovered from the village.
Even after 10 years of signing of CPA, such weapons are being used in various levels of crime according to police.
