Violation of Code of Conduct During Campaigning of Local Level Election

As the date of the local level election is approaching, the incidents of violation of the code of conduct are also rising.

The CPN (Maoist) Centre and the Nepali Congress have used children in their promotion campaign which is against the election code of conduct.

INSEC has received a photo of a child who had tied a flag on his head during the election campaign.

Party cadres have been seen using large flags during the election campaign.

The Nepali Congress has used big flags during the election campaign in Nilkand.

Similarly, independent candidates have been found in Dhading Bazaar making big election symbols and using them as flags.

Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party is campaigning using the Flex banner at Galchi.

Although it is mentioned in the code of conduct that Flex should not be used, it has been found that Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Socialist and CPN-UML have all used Flex

Candidates’ photos have also been published in Flex.
