Victim Urges To Find Her Disappeared Husband

Kalpana Chapagain has urged Human Rights activists and journo to find the whereabouts of her husband Bhim Bahadur Chapagain,45 of Chanuwa VDC-1 who went missing since two months.

On August 14, through a press meet she said that her husband never came back after he went to a funeral procession on June 13 and urged activists and media personnel to find out his whereabouts.

He was last seen in a funeral of his cousin Resham Chapagain near the bank of Arun River.

She complained that Area Police Office of Chunuwa did not show any initiation even after she lodged a complaint about his missing on June 14. She even tried to lodge FIR against those whom she is suspicious about. But the police denied registering her complaint, she said. She said that she has been displaced to the district head quarter after she felt unsafe after her husband went on missing.

The victim has two daughters and one son. She pleaded human rights activists and media personnel for justice after police did not show any initiation.

SP Bibhuti Raj Pandey of DPO said that the investigation has not found any evidences of his murder of enforced disappearance. He added that he might have swept away by river in an inebriated state. The investigation and interrogation on suspicious people are going on according to Pandey.
