Victim complaints of intimidation inside police custody
The victims party have complained that 24 years old Tej Soni has been injured inside the police custody of District Police Office at Birendranagar Municipality-5 in a clash between police and detainees on December 19.
Soni was arrested and was taken into custody for interrogation regarding the beatings of YCL cadre Govinda Pratap Malla. He was beaten by the police and other detainees inside the custody. He sustained a broken hand in the incident.
The victim is undergoing treatment at Deuti Nursing Home in Birendranagar. He sustained several bruises over his body. The victim demanded to take action against those involved in a beating.
However, the District Police Office said that police have only intervene the clash between the detainees and denied the involvement of police.
