Victim Complain Police of not registering FIR
A victim Indra Kumari Khadka’s father Tek Bahadur Khadka complained that police have denied registering FIR lodged by him against Prem Bahadur,21 of Awalching VDC-8 who was involved on disappearance of her daughter in India, three years ago. Prem Bahadur had lured of marrying his daughter Indra Kumari Khadka of Birendra Nagar Municipality-24 before she was disappeared in India.
Khadka said that he do not have any contact with her daughter after she was taken to India by an accused. He further said that recently on August 11 he attempted to lodge an FIR at District Police Office however police denied of registering his complaint.
Prior to this, he lodged an application at District Police Office of Surkhet in 2014 May 15 to know her whereabouts.
DSP Bahadur Jung Malla of DPO Surkhet said that FIR was not accepted because it is not lawful. He further said that only woman herself need to be presented to lodge FIR. He said that the victim’s family has been requested to come with a proper procedure for registration of complaint.
