Vandalization of Ward Office, Accused Arrested
The ward office of Halesi Tubhachung Municipality-3 Chasmitar has been vandalized on April 4, 2022.
Police have arrested Bhupendra Rai,27, Nishan Rai, 22, Devraj Rai, 21, and Bishal Rai, 22, from the same place on April 5, on the charge of being involved in the vandalism.
Inspector Sagar Shah of the District Police Office said that the accused were arrested from their houses on April 5, for the investigation after Ward Chairperson of Halesi Tubhachung Municipality-3 Bhola Raj Rai informed that the ward office was vandalized on April 4.
According to the ward chairperson, the damage caused by the vandalism was worth NPR 50,000.
He further said that the office’s furniture and Ayurvedic medicine containers were damaged due to the vandalism.
DSP Umesh Lamsal of the District Police Office said that the local level office may have been vandalized as the local level election was approaching.
