Use of children against code of conduct
Nepali congress party has used children for their election campaign against the election code of conduct on May 11. Children under the age of 16 were given a T-shirt printed with their election symbol and were used to distribute their manifesto.
Meanwhile, the party has used children to carry party’s flag on their election campaign on the eve of silent period. At about 50 percent of the participation was by children. The election office and district child welfare committee did not give any reaction of this incident.
The six political parties had already signed the commitment letter for not using children in their election campaign.
