Update of September 8 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 998,432 after 137 additional new cases on September 8, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 983,949 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.6% along with the 168 latest recovered. There are 2,473 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 1,518 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 12,011. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one death was recorded. On September 8, 2,883 people were tested through the antigen process and 90 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 151,321 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till September 8, 21,995,061 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
